Team Members: Andrew Becker, Michael Bilsborough, Taras Kravchuk,

Faculty Advisor: Shawn Bowers
Sponsor: Providence Health Care
Liaison: Danita Petek, Michael Herzog
Providence Sacred Heart has
a large, 44 acre campus that is currently very difficult for visitors and new
employees to navigate. The goal of this
project is to create an easy-to-use mobile application that would allow people
to search for and find the correct parking facility, building, and room they
are visiting.
Summary Statement of Goal:
Facilitate easier wayfinding for patients, guests, and
employees at Providence Sacred Heart.
Project Deliverables:
The application should
provide users with an interactive campus map, the ability to locate their
current position on the map, a location search facility, and the ability to
select a desired location and receive appropriate directions. Users may need
directions from their current location as well as the ability to plan a trip in
which the appropriate parking area and directions are given. Additional features may also be required as
needed for the project (such as security and privacy).
The team will also be expected to develop and deliver a maintenance plan for the application as well as evidence that the app has been fully tested to work within the Providence Sacred Heart campus.
Project Management:
The project team will be expected to meet with the project sponsors frequently to further identify and prototype app features and to show progress. The team will also need to work with IT staff at Providence Sacred Heart to ensure the application to develop an appropriate maintenance plan allowing the app to be maintained beyond the life of the project.
