Project Overview: Project background or overview: Sterling International locally manufactures pest control products for consumer use in an assembly line process. Due to increased demand, a more efficient and reliable assembly machine is needed.
Summary Statement of Project Goal: Design an assembly line, automated machine to be run by one person.
Project Deliverables: Project Plan with milestones and budget, initial design concepts, prototype testing, machine simulations, detail drawings including BOM and cost estimations.
Management & Communication Expectations: WBS, Gantt Chart, Weekly Meetings
Research Expectations: Source quality components for industrial automation applications.
Students will be asked to sign a Confidentiality Agreement and Non-Compete Contract.
