ENSC22 Martin Center Energy Audit

Project Overview: To evaluate the energy systems at the Martin Athletic Center (lighting, heating, cooling, compressed air, etc) and prepare an energy efficiency project plan.
Summary Statement of Project Goal: Provide cost-justified energy efficiency solutions for Gonzaga’s Martin Athletic Center.
Project Deliverables (to be fully negotiated with team early in project): The project can be categorized as
1) Evaluate & Measure – to develop computer simulation models of existing
energy systems
2) Design – to compare energy efficient equipment options and rank by internal
rate of return (IRR)
3) Document – to prepare a comprehensive evaluation including installation
and incentive cost estimates.
Management & Communication Expectations:
Project plan should include Gantt chart treatment for task sequence, dependencies, constraints,
duration, and resource allocation. Weekly or bi-weekly meetings with liaison engineer. Weekly
meetings with faculty advisor.
